"Uplifted!" will feature modern, jazz, lyrical, funk, ballet, tap, African and other dance influences. Dancers Unlimited's spirit and diversity are evident in the show, which features a variety of music, costuming and styles of dance. The show portrays dance as a means of reflection and an outlet for expression. The dance company's members said they use dance as an escape to everyday life.

The production will feature several student-choreographed pieces including "My Salvation," a lyrical-jazz dance with music by local band "Snow Rd.," a fast-paced piece called "Above it All" to music by the "Red Hot Chili Peppers" and "Here I Am," a lyrical piece to music by Kelly Clarkson.

Guest choreographer Jamie Brennan of El Paso will present "Breath of Moonlight," featuring four dancers and a live musical quartet performing music by Claude Bolling.

Dancers Unlimited is composed of more than 20 members from New Mexico State. The unifying element of the company is the passion for dance each member shares. The group is a non-profit organization, is student-run and organized and has been at the university for more than 19 years.

General admission tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for children, students and senior citizens. Advance tickets are available at the Pan American Center box office or the day of the show at Onate High School.
