BARNES & NOBLE AT NMSU EXTENDS HOURS FOR HOMECOMING PARADE


The Barnes & Noble at NMSU Bookstore & Café will open at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, for those looking for last-minute Aggie gear or who want to enjoy a hot Starbucks coffee before the parade gets underway along University Avenue. The store will close at 6 p.m. Call 575-646-4431 for more information.

DANCESPORT PRESENTS LOOK WHO'S DANCING

The NMSU Dance Program and DanceSport Society present the fifth season for "Look Who's Dancing!" at 3 p.m. Oct. 28, at the Pan American Center. The purpose of the event is to promote social dancing in the community as a healthful and enjoyable activity for all ages and all skill levels and to benefit the NMSU DanceSport Company.

The DSC students are responsible for creating the dance choreographies, instructing their community "celebrity" partners on how to execute the steps and performing with them in the "Look Who's Dancing!" event. Competitors will vie for the first, second and third place Mirror Ball trophies, the Entertainment Award and the People's Choice award.

Tickets for the event are $12 general admission and $8 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the Pan American Center Ticket Office at 646-1420, at the NMSU Dance Office 646-2070, online at http://www.ticketmaster.com/venue/98676/ or from any contestant.

ATKINSON HALL HOSTS VOCAL EVENTS

Ejerson Balabas will present her senior vocal recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at the Atkinson Recital Hall. On Tuesday, Oct. 30, the University Singers will present "Songs of Light and Life" at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

MEN'S BASKETBALL TIP-OFF DINNER

Men's basketball will host its annual Tip-Off Dinner at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Pan American Center. The dinner will also host guest speaker Herman Boone the inspiration behind the movie "Remember the Titans." Call the basketball offices for tickets at 575-646-1447.

AGGIE ATHLETICS PRESENTS VOLLEYBALL

Swimming and Diving will host an alumni meet at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the NMSU Natatorium. This event is free and open to the public.

Men's Basketball will host the Crimson and White Scrimmage at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Pan American Center. This event is free and open to the public.

Football will face Louisiana Tech at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Aggie Memorial Stadium for the "Culture of Aggie Pride" Homecoming game. Free cowbells to the first 3,500 fans, and there will be a post-game fireworks show.

Volleyball will face Seattle University at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at the Pan American Center.

Volleyball will face San Jose State University at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Pan American Center

Women's Basketball will face Fort Lewis University in an exhibition game at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at the Pan American Center.
