NMSU HOSTS THE TOURNAMENT OF BANDS


The NMSU Pride Band and the NMSU Dept. of Music will host the Tournament of Bands from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Aggie Memorial Stadium. The day-long event will feature presentations from high school bands in New Mexico and West Texas and will conclude with a performance from the NMSU Pride Band.

Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for kids 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the NMSU Pan American Center Ticket Office and online at http://bit.ly/NVQl9R. For more information, call 575-646-1420.

CLABS FALL SPEAKER SERIES CONTINUES

The Center for Latin American and Border Studies will continue its fall speaker series with historian Barry Carr at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, the Nason House. Carr, from the University of La Trobe, Australia, will give a talk titled "Red Mexico City, Havana and New York: Transnational Networks of Radicals, Revolutionaries and Exiles 1918-1940" exploring the interconnections between these three cities at a time of revolutionary fervor throughout the Americas.

This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. The Nason House is located at 1070 University Ave., across from FedEx/Kinkos.

AGGIE ATHLETICS PRESENTS VOLLEYBALL, BASKETBALL

Aggie Volleyball will face Utah State University at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Pan American Center.

Men's Basketball will face Western New Mexico University in an exhibition game at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at the Pan American Center.
