NMSU ICON Conference to showcase graduate research

New Mexico State University graduate students from electrical engineering and physics will present their research projects at the fall ICON Conference on Saturday, Nov. 10. The conference is hosted by the Student Chapter of the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers and will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Thomas and Brown Hall Room 104 on the NMSU Las Cruces campus.

The first ICON Conference, held this past spring, featured presentations by electrical engineering faculty.

"This year, we want to make the presentations more diverse, so we've invited the physics department to participate. It's a great opportunity for people to see what kind of research is being conducted," said IEEE Publicity Director John Gariano. "It also gives students valuable experience in presenting their research."

The conference is free and open to the public. A lunch will be provided.
