Civil Engineering department will have the 49th Annual Highway Conference

New Mexico State University's Department of Civil Engineering will co-sponsor the 49th Annual New Mexico Highway Engineering Conference April 1-4 at the Las Cruces Hilton.

"Moving Ahead: Building Bridges -- Removing Barriers" is the theme for the conference, which is also sponsored by the New Mexico State Highway and Transportation Department, the Federal Highway Administration and Associated Contractors of New Mexico. Participants will include employees of the Highway Department, federal, state and local transportation representatives, highway contractors and NMSU faculty and students.

The conference will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at the San Andres Ballroom with a welcoming speech.

The keynote speaker, Harry Morgan Moses, will address participants at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, April 3. The nationally recognized author, speaker and motivational corporate trainer will talk about "Success Simplified: The Power of Living Integrity." Moses is author of "It's So Easy When You Know How," now in its second edition, and the soon-to-be released "Getting to Know How." He was the host of a nationally aired, magazine-style television program and the co-host of a network informational series.

Registration is $65 before March 21. Participants can register during the conference for $70 from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, or from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 2, at the Hilton lobby.
