McGahee's lecture will chronicle her professional and personal experiences in the Philippines when she visited the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, Philippines, in July 2002. She worked with the university's museum curator and the department heads in anthropology and history, helping them create an education outreach program. The program, which is in its developmental stages, will provide educational materials to teachers and their students to supplement their Cebuano history studies and cultural heritage programs.

McGahee received her master's degree in anthropology from New Mexico State in 2002.

The University Museum, located at the corner of University Avenue and Solano Drive, is open from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information call the museum at (505) 646-3739.
