New Mexico State University student receives scholarship to study in Japan

New Mexico State University sophomore Jacob Gordon received a scholarship from the Association of International Education in Japan (AIEJ), to study at Chukyo University in Japan from April to December.


olarship will provide Gordon, a pre-business major from Las Cruces, with airfare to Japan and a monthly stipend of $670.

The scholarship was awarded as part of AIEJ's Short-term Student Exchange Promotion Program. Students given this scholarship must be admitted to a Japanese university under an exchange agreement, show a necessity for studying in Japan and be recommended by the host university.
