Andrew Pena selected as NMSU assistant vice president for HR Services

"Andrew brings with him an extensive record of service in Human Resources in both private industry and higher education," said Angela Throneberry, NMSU senior vice president for administration and finance. "For approximately 12 years, Andrew has been with the University of Texas at El Paso, where he is responsible for the primary HR functions. We look forward to adding him to our team."

Pena will oversee Benefits Services, Employee and Management Services, Employment/Compensation Services, HR Information Systems, Payroll Services and the Center for Professional and Learning Development.

"I'm excited about joining the NMSU administration and finance team, and the NMSU family," Pena said. "I'm looking forward to working with all our faculty, staff and student employees."

Pena has a bachelor's degree from Our Lady of the Lake University, master's degree from St. Mary's University and doctoral degree from the University of Texas at El Paso.
