AMERICAN IDOL-WINNER PHILLIP PHILLIPS COMES TO THE PAN AM


American Idol Season 11 winner, Phillip Phillips, will perform live at NMSU's Pan American Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 29. Phillips' debut single, "Home," marked the biggest opening sales week for an Idol winner's coronation song and has since gone triple platinum having been featured as the soundtrack for the 2012 U.S. Olympics Women's Gymnastics team and more recently as the unofficial theme for Hurricane Sandy relief and as the theme song for HGTV.

Tickets for the event are $18.50 and $28.50 (plus applicable fees) and are available at the Pan Am Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000, and online at http://bit.ly/11uSukh. AGGIE ATHLETICS PRESENTS SOFTBALL, BASEBALL

Aggie Softball will face Louisiana Tech at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the NMSU Softball Complex. Parents will receive a group rate discount if they bring a child to the game, with the first 100 fans receiving a free root beer float and the 200 fans receiving a backpack. There will also be a post-game autograph session.

Baseball will face Texas State University at 6:05 p.m. Saturday, March 23, and will conclude the series at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at the Presley Askew Baseball Field. Admission is free for children age 12 and under.

Aggie Softball will face Siena College at 4 p.m. Monday, March 25, at the NMSU Softball Complex. It is the Cancer Awareness game, and spectators are encouraged to wear pink. There will also be a post game luminary event.
