New Mexico State University to run financial aid workshops in local high schools

The New Mexico State University Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarship Services will conduct workshops in Las Cruces high schools Jan. 28-30.


kshops are intended to educate seniors planning to attend college about the financial aid and scholarship process at New Mexico State. Topics to be covered include how to apply for financial aid and scholarships, the different types available, the deadlines involved and how to avoid scholarship scams.

Representatives from the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarship Services will be at Las Cruces High School Monday, Jan. 28, Mayfield High School Tuesday, Jan. 29, and Onate High School Wednesday, Jan. 30.

Each day the workshops will be held during every class period and parents are invited to attend. An admissions representative from the university will be available to answer questions.
