NMSU remembers lives of deceased students, faculty, staff

New Mexico State University celebrated the lives of NMSU students, faculty and staff who have passed away during the past year during a memorial service held May 2, at the Student Memorial on the Las Cruces campus.

Those listed on the program are: Barbara Sletten, Chris Chamberlin, Robert Williams, David Williamson, David Hill, Matthew Crockett, Ramon Vega, Cherryl Smith, Michael Chavez, Reba Jones, Gregory Kowalski, Jacob Vonkutzleben, Irene Harrison, Noel Chesbro, Lucy Montes-Sandoval, Omar Sanchez, Johnny Ogden and Raymond Martinez. Stephen Lopez, NMSU chief of police, read the names of each person, while Michael Jasek, NMSU dean of students, rang the bell once in memory of each.

The memorial event was for all campuses within the NMSU system.
