Art a la Carte presents the sounds of Nosotros

Art a la Carte, the New Mexico State University Art Gallery's lunchtime performance program, will present musical guests Nosotros Friday, Nov. 2.



Nosotros is a Latin ensemble specializing in e specializing in Afro-Cuban rhythms, flamenco rumbas, Latin jazz, bossa novas, sambas and traditional folk songs from Mexico. They will be featured Nov.2 in Art a la Carte, the New Mexico State University Art

Art a la Carte features performances from the literary, music, dance and experimental arts community. It takes place from noon to 1 p.m. on selected Fridays at the Art Gallery in Williams Hall.


Nosotros is a Latin ensemble specializing in Afro-Cuban rhythms, flamenco rumbas, Latin jazz, bossa novas, sambas and traditional folk songs from Mexico. Since their establishment in 1994, they have been performing in clubs and televised variety shows all over the Southwest and in Mexico.

Members Shane Derk, David Diaz, Dennis Jasso, Justin McLauchlin, Felipe Roybal and Randy Sanchez have produced two albums, "Palomo" and "Pico," and are working on a third recording project.

All Art a la Carte events are free and open to the public. Free parking will be provided. Guests are encouraged to bring a bag lunch.
