Purchase a Crimson shirt to support the Perozynski Employee Emergency Fund

Show your Aggie Pride and purchase a crimson shirt to wear on Fridays. Proceeds from the purchases go towards the Perozynski Employee Emergency Fund.

To purchase a shirt (or if you just want to donate), visit https://nmsubookstore.ignitecx.com/showyourpride.

We all know NMSU faculty, staff and friends love the Aggies. We also know that NMSU is a caring community. Now we have an opportunity to combine this love and care with the purchase of a crimson shirt. Order your shirt by Sept. 1 and have it shipped to your home or office.

Over the years, the Perozynski fund has helped nine-month faculty by providing them with financial assistance in times of hardship. Our goal is to get a close as possible to contributing sufficient funds to provide assistance to both faculty and staff through this program.

On behalf of NMSU Employee Council and the NMSU Bookstore, we would like to thank you for your continued support of Aggies in need.

NMSU to phase out university funding of the equestrian program, team to compete in 2016-2017 season

New Mexico State University, along with the New Mexico State Athletics Department, announced Friday that the equestrian team will be allowed to compete in the 2016-2017 season. This will, however, be the final season for the team to be funded by the university.

?Our students are incredibly important to us,? said NMSU Chancellor Garrey Carruthers. ?As the university continues to be under enormous pressure to cut our budget by $12.1 million, we have spoken with our stakeholders repeatedly over the course of this process. However, we should have given more notice to our equestrian team. This final season will give them an opportunity to compete and to seek other opportunities if they choose. I have shared this decision with the chair of our Board of Regents and she concurs.?
