NMSU parade in family student housing includes visit from Santa

The weather outside is delightful with not a sign of snow on the ground, but New Mexico State University?s Fire Department is working with the resident director of NMSU?s Student Family Housing to bring some holiday cheer to those staying on campus during the winter break.

From 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, NMSU?s Fire Department will have its traditional parade to pull Santa and his sleigh through family housing. The parade will begin at the NMSU Fire Department on Wells Street and go through NMSU?s three family housing communities and end up at Aggie Express.

NMSU's School of Social Work Holiday Angel Tree has 23 angel tags available

The NMSU School of Social Work, Family and Child Welfare Training Project is needing your support. We still have 23 angel tags from our annual Holiday Angel tree that need to be claimed. Espina Street project to start Dec. 19

The Espina Street resurfacing and installation of bicycle lanes is expected to commence on Monday, Dec. 19, and be done by Jan. 10. Espina Street will be narrowed to three lanes and two bike lanes from just north of the first crosswalk between the ASNMSU Center for the Arts and the Music Building to Wells Street during the winter holiday break. Apply for the OAC-CAO Excellence in Assessment Award by Dec. 20

All Las Cruces campus operations, co-curricular and administrative units are invited to apply for the OAC-CAO Excellence in Assessment Award by Dec. 20. The award will be presented at the 2017 Spring Convocation.

Units that participated in any quality improvement activities throughout 2015-2016 can submit information related to their efforts at https://assessment.nmsu.edu/weave/. For assistance with the award application or submission contact David Smith at 575-646-7621 or davsmith@ad.nmsu.edu.

The annual award is sponsored by the Outcomes Assessment Committee for Co-Curricular Administration and Operations and recognizes the vital role operations, co-curricular and administrative units play.
