Gage Gavin Memorial Endowment Golf Tournament to be held Sunday

The NMSU PGA Golf Management Program is hosting the Gage Gavin Memorial Endowment Golf Tournament. The event is a four-person scramble on Sunday, March 26, at the Sonoma Ranch Golf Club. Price is $100 per player, which includes greens fee, cart fee, lunch and prizes, and tee sponsorships are also available. Please contact Pat Gavin for more information or to register a team or to make a donation to the auction. All items are much appreciated for the auction. Retirement celebration for Frances Schumacher set for March 30

The Office of the Vice President for Research would like to extend a very special thank you to Executive Assistant Frances Schumacher for her years of dedicated service to NMSU and wish her the best of luck in future endeavors.

A retirement celebration is scheduled from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in the Large Conference Room of Anderson Hall. NMSU Alumni Association seeks nominations for distinguished alums and service award

The New Mexico State University Alumni Association is now seeking nominations for the 2017 Distinguished Alumni awards and the James F. Cole Memorial Award for Service.

The Distinguished Alumni award will be presented to one recipient each from the colleges of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences; Arts and Sciences; Business; Education; Engineering; and Health and Social Services; and one James F. Cole Memorial Award for Service will be given during the 2017 Homecoming celebration.

The Distinguished Alumni awards, established in 1956, recognize living NMSU alumni who have achieved national or international distinction through their accomplishments and leadership. To be considered, nominees must be a graduate of NMSU and available to attend Homecoming events during the fall of 2017. In addition to achieving distinction in their business or professional lives, nominees must have performed specific, meritorious service that reflects the quality and advancement of NMSU.

The James F. Cole Memorial Award for Service, established in 1966, recognizes those who have shown progressive support to NMSU, dedicated involvement with NMSU, impactful civic and humanitarian service at NMSU and within the communities around them, and notable professional service.

Nominations from the past two years will be considered; however, the nominator must resubmit their request through the nomination form, which is available online at advancing.nmsu.edu/alumni-awardsandprograms.
