NMSU Extension Agents earn national, regional, state awards


New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension Service agents are racking up the awards.

NMSU Sierra County CES Agriculture/4-H Agent Joshua Boyd earned national finalist honors from the National Association of County Agricultural Agents for his 4-H Horse Judging Manual. The NACAA?s communications competition recognizes agricultural agents on the state, regional and national levels. Boyd?s manual earned the second-highest award level possible.

Retirement reception for Marilyn Heide set for Wednesday

Please join us on Wednesday, May 24, to celebrate Marilyn Heide?s retirement for 18 years of service with the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Business in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences. Her reception will be held at Gerald Thomas Hall, Room 330 ?Social Living Center? at 3:30 p.m.

NMSU Board of Regents to meet May 26

The Board of Regents of New Mexico State University will hold a special meeting at 9 a.m. Friday, May 26, in the Regents Room of the Educational Services Building on the NMSU Las Cruces Campus, 1780 East University Avenue.

In compliance with the Open Meetings Act, copies of the agenda will be made available at NMSU?s Zuhl Library on the Las Cruces campus at least 72 hours prior to the meeting and accessible on the public university website at https://regents.nmsu.edu/agenda/. The meeting will be available by webcast at https://panopto.nmsu.edu/bor/.
