Staff Spotlight: Javier Medina, STEM Outreach Center

Javier Medina is an accountant for the STEM Outreach Center, which is housed in the College of Education at New Mexico State University. Medina has been a staff member at NMSU for a year and a half. When he started his position at the STEM Outreach Center, he took an immediate liking to the university and the people he works with.

?I love the people here and the challenges my job present,? Medina said. ?The people here at the STEM Outreach Center are dedicated and have a passion for what they do.?

The STEM Outreach Center provides professional development in STEM fields for teachers in schools across New Mexico. Among Medina?s duties are reconciling accounts, submitting stipends for 300 teachers every semester, requesting direct pays for professional development programs and making sure the center is following proper accounting procedures and guidelines.

Retirement reception for Grace Martinez set today

FSA-RMR office information session to be held June 27

The FSA Records Management and Retention office will conduct an information session from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, in the Senate Chambers Room 302, in Corbett Center. Learn about NMSU records, the new retention requirements and FSA-RMR Procedures. A Go-To Meeting for our out-of-town users, who are unable to attend our session at the Las Cruces campus, will be offered at the same time as our live session.
