Nominations sought for NMSU honorary degrees

Selection of honorary doctoral degree recipients rests with the Board of Regents of New Mexico State University. The responsibility for seeking qualified candidates rests with University Advancement; therefore we are inviting nominations of individuals to be considered for conferral of the honorary doctorate for graduation in the fall of 2015.

Nominations are being sought from the campus community, alumni and volunteers associated with the university. No current faculty member, administrator of the university or any currently serving elected official should receive an honorary degree. However, with a majority vote of the Board of Regents, these prohibitions can be overruled.

Please submit your nomination by filling in the web form found at: http://fndforms.nmsu.edu/honorarydegreenominationform.php. The deadline for fall 2015 submissions is Aug. 25. Questions may be directed to Jolie Tixier at 575-646-5567.
